Root Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with Magisk & Without PC

This guide will show you how to root Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with the advanced rooting method Magisk. I have shown you two methods to root this smartphone, one with TWRP recovery and the second without TWRP.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is a newly launched Android smartphone. It offers great features for the price. Here are the key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus:

The phone comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD Plus Dynamic AMOLED display.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 855, an octa-core CPU.

Let's root Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

If you're completely new to the rooting community, don't worry. We've covered everything you need to know about the process of rooting Android devices.

As I already mentioned above, this guide consists of two methods, the first is to flash the Magisk installer zip using TWRP recovery and the second method is to flash Magisk patched boot image using the fast boot command.

Root Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus using TWRP recovery

Download the latest Magisk zip file on your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus device.
Move the downloaded zip file to your phone's external storage.
Now, reboot Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus into TWRP recovery mode.
Turn off your phone.
Press and hold the Volume Up + Power button until you see the boot screen, then release the Power button (don't release the Volume Up key until you boot into TWRP mode.)
Alternatively, you can also use the ADB command to boot into recovery mode.
Connect Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus to your PC/Laptop.
Open a command prompt on your computer and type the following command.
This will boot the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus into recovery mode.
On the TWRP main screen, tap Install.
Locate the Magisk installer zip file and select it.
Finally, swipe the slider at the bottom of the screen to flash the file and install Magisk on your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus phone.

Once the flashing process is complete, tap on Restart System.

Follow these steps on the computer

Now we need to flash the boot.tar file using ODIN for rooting.
Download the Odin Flash Tool and extract the file.
Run the Odin.exe file.
Connect your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus device to your PC. You will see a blue icon in Odin.
Now, click on AP and select the boot.tar file.
Go to the Options tab and uncheck the Auto Reboot option.
Now, tap the start button to root your device.
The flashing process will take a few minutes, so be patient. Once done, you will see PASS above Odin.
Disconnect your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus smartphone.
Magisk is now successfully flashed on your device! But there are many more steps for you to use the device.
We now want to boot the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus into stock recovery to perform a factory reset.
Press Power + Volume Down to exit download mode, and once the screen is off, press Volume Up + Power to boot into the recovery partition.
In the stock recovery menu, use the volume buttons to navigate through the menus and the power button to select an option.
Select wipe data/factory reset to erase the device data.
Finally, select Restart computer now.
The first boot will take some time.
Congratulations! You have successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with Magisk.
